Competition |
This is for teams only. This session will be a separate competition from the rest of the meet. Therefore, please fill out the separate Houston Team Cup entry form for this competition. Gymnasts who are competing in the Houston Team Cup may also compete in the rest of the competition. Gymnasts do not have to compete in the all around for this session since this is a team only competition. |

THERE IS ONLY 12 TEAM SPACES FOR THE HOUSTON TEAM CUP COMPETITION. TEAMS WILL BE TAKEN ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS! YOU CAN ENTER UP TO 2 TEAMS PER GYM. |
Team Makeup |
The teams can have up to 6 gymnasts on a team with 4 gymnasts competing on each event and 3 scores counting for team score. The gymnasts can be from level 5 – 10.

$2100.00 CASH and cup awards for the top 6 teams!
(7-12 place teams receive cups only)
Houston Team Cup Cash Awards:
1st Place -- $600, 2nd Place -- $500, 3rd Place -- $400,
4th Place -- $300, 5th Place -- $200, 6th Place -- $100 |
Judging |
The Houston Team Cup will be decided in a way that will reward the team with higher level gymnasts. An increasing bonus will be added to the gymnast’s individual event scores, depending upon what level the gymnast is, to make up for lower start values in the optional levels.(Judge’s input used for final bonus determination.)
The Houston Team Cup is designed to be a fun and rewarding competition to identify the best overall performance by a team in the meet, not necessarily to identify the team with the highest level gymnasts. This is probably the only meet of the year where, in a team situation, level 5’s and 6’s will compete against level 9’s and 10’s. Bonuses are awarded the optional level gymnasts in appreciation of the more difficult skills they are performing and the higher risks they are taking in practicing and performing those skills. |
